This position is located on client site in Kansas City, MO. Position will develop current understanding of data state, workflows and processes and develop solutions for integration, transformation and deliverables that meet the needs of the Client and project. This may include working with internal teams and with the Client. This role requires demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and recommend or make decisions regarding the best path for data development and processing. Project work will involve process improvement, quality control, data creation from spatial and tabular sources, conversion, migration, and maintenance. Project work may involve the following analytic skills: thematic map creation, preparation of GIS data, use of analytic geoprocessing tools database creation, data modeling for manipulation and transformation.

Under general guidance of the GIS supervisor, performs work researching, coordinating, developing and implementing GIS (geographical information systems) applications for the City. Examples including land use planning, spatial analyses, mapping, installations and database design and preservation.

This position provides maintenance and development support for the data and applications used within our Enterprise GIS (eGIS). This position will also interface with various teams and business units to assist projects requiring geospatial data and solutions. The primary day-to-day responsibilities of this position include editing spatial data with desktop GIS, leveraging geoprocessing routines to perform a variety of data conversions and analytical tasks, and the delivery of data and maps to satisfy specific user needs.
