ArcGIS Online: Beginner to Intermediate

  • 9 am to 4 pm, Wednesday, June 24, 2020, with lunch provided
  • El Dorado, KS
  • Instructors: Lee Allen (Shawnee County), Pam Dunham (Butler County), and Cesalea Osborne (City of Lawrence)
  • $100 KAM Members / $150 Non-KAM Members

  • Class is capped at 12 students to allow our participants to continue to practice social distancing if they prefer.

This class will examine the uses of local data within ArcGIS Online. Attendees will learn:

  • Brief overview of ArcGIS Online
  • Understanding different license levels and credits
  • How to add their local data
  • How to create a map that is useful for information and analysis
  • What pop-ups are and how to customize them
  • How to use and visualize data in CSV file format (ex. Orion Queries)
  • What functionality is available in ArcGIS Online vs. ArcGIS Desktop
  • How ArcGIS online is organized
  • Creating Apps with WebAppBuilder

Audience for this class includes: GIS personnel new to ArcGIS Online, appraisers, any other local staff looking to begin utilizing ArcGIS Online for their mapping and analysis needs as well as seasoned users looking for new ideas.

Requirements: Participants must bring their own laptop and have their own ArcGIS Online account set up prior to attending.
