Introduction to COGO Editing in ArcGIS Pro (Full-Day | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM) Instructor: Kara Utter, GeoSpatial Training Services Learn the fundamentals of Coordinate Geometry (COGO) editing in ArcGIS Pro, including traverses, bearings, distances, curves, and line construction. Perfect for GIS professionals new to COGO or transitioning from ArcMap.
2026 Kansas NG911 GIS Data Maintainer Certification (Half-Day | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM) Instructors: Kansas Data Access and Support Center (DASC) Become a certified Kansas NG911 GIS Data Maintainer while learning about the Kansas NG911 GIS Data Model, maintenance responsibilities, geoMSAG, and the tools that support accurate emergency response.
Legal Descriptions – The Quick and Dirty (Half-Day | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM) Instructor: Pamela Dunham, PKM, Butler County GIS Director Gain a practical understanding of legal descriptions, metes and bounds, the Public Land Survey System (PLSS), and techniques for interpreting difficult or incomplete property descriptions.
Introduction to Experience Builder (Half-Day | 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM) Instructors: Andrew Schappert, Shawnee County, and Mark Schmidt, Butler County Learn how to build engaging web applications using ArcGIS Experience Builder. This workshop covers the fundamentals, helpful tips, hidden features, and common pitfalls to help you build effective web GIS applications.
Map that Spreadsheet! (Half-Day | 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM) Instructor: Amy Roust, GISP, PMP, City of Lawrence, Kansas Turn spreadsheet data into maps using ArcGIS Pro. Learn data preparation, attribute joins, Display XY, geocoding, and practical troubleshooting techniques through hands-on exercises using real-world data.

The 41st annual Kansas Association of Mappers conference will attract GIS and mapping professionals and organizations from local and state governments as well as private and academic sectors from across the state of Kansas.
What was once a cadastral mapping conference has grown into geospatial fields as disparate as emergency response, public works, public health, environment, energy and utilities, recreation, transportation and water resources. We want to connect you with new customers as well as get face-to-face time with existing customers to grow partnerships that improve workflows around the state.
